At Elk Canyon Archery & Outdoors, we are proud to be a Canadian, family owned and operated archery shop serving the North Peace region of British Columbia. Established in 2019, our business was built on a deep passion for archery, hunting, and the outdoors — and a commitment to creating a trusted local destination where bowhunters and target archers can find quality equipment, expert guidance, and dependable service close to home.

We’re real people who genuinely love to hunt and spend time in the outdoors. As multi-generation hunters, we’ve grown up learning the values of patience, respect for wildlife, and ethical harvest — and we take pride in passing those traditions on to the next generation. Teaching safe, responsible hunting practices and helping young and new hunters build confidence in the field is something that means a great deal to our family.

Because we actively hunt and shoot ourselves, we believe in selling products we trust. The gear on our shelves is carefully selected and field tested — equipment we use in real conditions and stand behind. Living and operating in the North Peace means we understand the terrain, the seasons, and the demands of Northern British Columbia. That firsthand experience allows us to provide practical advice, personalized setups, and honest recommendations tailored specifically to our region.

Since opening in 2019, we’ve been committed to supporting archers at every stage of their journey. In addition to professional maintenance, repairs, and complete bow setup services for both compound and traditional equipment, we also offer archery lessons for beginners and developing shooters. Our lessons focus on proper form, safety, skill development, and building confidence in a welcoming, supportive environment.

The name “Elk Canyon” comes from our time spent in the field as avid elk hunters. Over the years, we’ve learned that elk often inhabit mountainous bowl structures and canyon country. Like many hunters, we don’t give away the exact locations of where we hunt. Instead, we use a bit of “hunter code” when talking about special spots. “Elk Canyon” became our agreed-upon term — a nod to the terrain elk love and a way of keeping our hunting grounds respectfully hush hush.
